Antoine Dufilho
Antoine Dufilho is a sculptor and architect who has successfully transformed a family passion for automobiles—inherited from his great-uncle, the famous actor and Bugatti collector Jacques Dufilho—into a unique artistic signature. Drawing on a dual background in medicine (biomechanics) and architecture (structure), he conceives his works by dissecting forms to reveal their skeleton and inherent lightness.
His work is characterized by a technique of layered strata, creating an alternation between solid and void. This approach offers a kinetic vision of a static object: as the observer moves around it, the sculpture comes to life, evoking a sense of acceleration and speed through the purification of matter.
As part of the Coligny Museum, we have the immense privilege of exhibiting one of his most ambitious creations: the Chameleon. This monumental 1:1 scale masterpiece, inspired by the Porsche 910, pushes the concept of optical illusion to its peak. Thanks to an asymmetrical bicolor treatment, the sculpture radically changes its appearance and color depending on the viewer’s angle, blending into its environment like a chameleon.
To accompany this centerpiece, the exhibition also features an exclusive series of eight sculptures (80 cm x 36 cm), illustrating the artist’s mastery of more intimate, yet equally dynamic, formats.
